Statewide Stormwater Rule

Hands Along The Water has been urging local governments to sign a resolution reinitiating the review of the Statewide Stormwater Rule for implementation in Florida. This Rule was fully supported and backed by data and FDEP in 2009, but the election of 2010 proved victorious for Rick Scott and his "no new regulation" platform. This meant that the Statewide Stormwater Rule fell to the wayside. It's time for us to pick it back up and encourage our state government to reinitiate the review process.

North Port City Commissioners, Sarasota City Commissioners, and the Venice City Council have all signed a Resolution in support of this Rule.
